Head Master’s Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to St John’s Beaumont Preparatory School: an outstanding preparatory school for children aged between 3 and 13.

“It is a privilege to be appointed as the next Headmaster of St John’s Beaumont. The school has a strong sense of identity, rooted in faith, tradition and a genuine commitment to the formation of children. I am excited to build on the excellent work already in place and to work in partnership with pupils, staff and families as the school enters its next chapter.”

St John’s Beaumont is thrilled to welcome Mr Andrew De Silva as Head Master from September 2026. Andrew joins St John’s Beaumont from The Oratory Prep School in Oxfordshire. He brings extensive headship experience across both the state and independent sectors, along with a strong track record of pupil growth, academic excellence and successful progression to leading senior schools in the UK and internationally.
