What I like most is the message and objective of making the boys caring individuals and rounded kids above the academic. They are doing a very good job of that.
The teaching has been unequivocally good.
They have a unique talent for bringing out the best in the boys. I have seen so many kids going to Eton, Harrow, Winchester. They must be doing something right.
The school's facilities have everything a boy could ask for and more.

The school is delighted and proud that the inspectors found our pupils' academic achievements and personal development to be excellent.
In January 2023, St John's Beaumont underwent a progress monitoring inspection and all regulations that were the focus of the inspection were found to be met.
Some excerpts from the Educational Quality Inspection results (page 9);

Pupils demonstrate exceptional self-understanding. They are reflective, resilient and have excellent levels of confidence.
Pupils flourish and grow in confidence thanks to an environment that encourages them to listen and respect each other's point of view.
Independent School Inspectorate reports from 2023 and 2022:
The No.1 trusted guide to schools, it is an independent guide reviewing over 1100 schools each year. Their comments about St John’s following their visit in May 2019:
On our Headmaster: Boys and parents describe him as 'the heart and soul of the school'.
There’s nothing a Good Schools Guide writer loves more than a school that surprises them... had always thought the red-brick gothic buildings somewhat austere, bordering on intimidating. Coupled with the school’s Jesuit foundation and reputation for strong discipline, our expectations were duly set when we arrived on the day of our visit. Happily, we left with them blown out of the water, having spent the day at one of the most contented and civilised boys’ preps we have ever had the privilege of visiting. Serenity and respect pervade the grand corridors (which, true to first impressions, could never be described as cosy) and the staff we met oozed empathy and enthusiasm.
One recent former parent told us 'Once a St John's boy, always a St John's boy.' In our book that can only be a good thing.
Leading British lifestyle and fashion magazine TATLER is publishing this independent guide of the top prep and public schools in the UK, and St John's Beaumont is proud to be amongst them.
The 2022 TATLER review particularly remarks upon our school's handling of the lockdown and homeschooling;
Perhaps Boris should have hired Mr Delaney to run SAGE.
'From the start, the school prioritised the welfare of the boys.' For a school founded on the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis (care for each person so that they are able to flourish), this comes as a little surprise.
St John's Beaumont School has been voted 'Best Day & Boarding Preparatory School for Boys in South East England' by the independently judged LUXlife Private Education Awards 2021.
