Four young boys sit on the floor in a cozy room, playing a board game together. They are focused and engaged, with a red armchair and a bed covered in blue blankets visible in the background.

Military Families

At St John’s Beaumont, we are proud to support families serving in the Armed Forces. We are committed to offering stability, continuity of education and a warm home‑from‑home environment for every military child. Our co-educational boarding provision, strong pastoral care and understanding of military life ensure that our forces families feel fully supported to thrive academically and socially.

A Home‑from‑Home Community

Our experienced pastoral and boarding teams understand the unique pressures military families face. We know that deployment can often happen at short notice and our military children benefit from stability, friendship and a strong sense of belonging within our nurturing boarding houses. A supportive and vibrant boarding community ensures children flourish with the foundation of deeply personalised pastoral care throughout their educational journey.

Strong Academic and Enrichment Opportunities

Our pupils enjoy a broad curriculum, specialist teaching, extensive sports, music, drama and activity programme, and access to our exceptional facilities within 50 acres, in the countryside just outside of Windsor.  Through this all‑round education, military children develop confidence, resilience and leadership skills that remain with them far beyond their school years.  We have a proud track-record of preparing our pupils for excellent future school destinations, including Eton, Harrow, Winchester and Wellington; with at least 25% securing prestigious scholarships.

Financial Support for Military Families

Continuity of Education Allowance at SJB
St John’s Beaumont fully supports families with the CEA.  We ensure that families claiming CEA are only required to pay the minimum 10% parental contribution, with the allowance covering the balance.
Families not claiming CEA may also enquire about additional scholarship or bursurial support, depending on availability.
