CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY

This year the theme for CAFOD family fast day is linked with hand washing and clean water, something that we are so grateful to have constant access to in the current climate.

CAFOD envelopes will be sent home with every boy, and the aim is for them to either do something helpful at home e.g tidy their bedroom, unload the dishwasher etc or give something up that they would normally have, like a chocolate bar or sweets and put that money in the envelope. Every little bit counts and will make a massive difference to the poorest of the poor who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Information about where the money we raise for CAFOD will go:

CAFOD envelopes to be brought in on Monday 12th October, please.

The children will also be raising money for Jesuit Missions over the next week.

The children will also be raising money for Jesuit Missions over the next week. Our focus from the beginning of term has been caring for our common home and responding to Pope Francis’ ‘Laudato Si’ encyclical. In order to celebrate what we have learnt and the actions that
boys have taken, we will be having a green and blue mufti day on 16th October to reflect the CAFOD theme of clean water and Pope Francis’ call to focus on creation.  Please bring in £1 for mufti day next Friday in an envelope.

Please send in pictures of anything your children are doing at home or have done over the past weeks, to help the environment and the poorest of the poor locally, nationally and globally. Please send these to Mrs Katnik

Many thanks for all of your help and support in making a difference to the lives of those who are in desperate need.
