Little Roosters Toddler Group
Little Roosters is a fortnightly toddler group with a science and nature twist!
Feed a chicken and pat a guinea pig, make a leaf kebab…for all the messy play and experiments that you see online but can’t quite face at home – from building a bird feeder to making a rainbow swirl with skittles!
Little Roosters gives young children the opportunity to explore, discover and play using St John’s fantastic Early Years facilities and under the guidance of our wonderful Head of Pre-Prep, Mrs Pippa Powell-Harper. The group will be held in our Sensory Classroom, which is part of the St John’s Nursery. We will also explore more widely visiting our feathered and furry friends in ‘The Roost’, home to our chickens and guinea pigs, Bert & Rodney or perhaps venturing to our mud kitchen or Forest School.
These free sessions are ‘stay and play’ so we ask that an adult accompanies for the duration of the class. Little Roosters is most fun for children aged 2+, younger children and siblings are welcome to come along too. A light snack for children will be provided. A wonderful way to connect with other parents and give children opportunities for hands-on experimentation and messy play…and you don’t have to worry about the clearing up.
Sessions will be held on Thursday mornings from 10:30-11:30am, so you’ll be home in time for lunch. Join us for one or more sessions starting in our Spring Term.
