IAPS Chess Success

Thursday 12th March saw 13 St John’s Beaumont pupils compete in the IAPS online Chess Tournament for the second consecutive year. We entered two teams, U9’s and U13’s, with the tournament lasting one hour. The U13s finished 11th out of 45 teams, and the U9s finished 16th of 24, with some of the teams playing from as far away as the Banda School in Kenya!

A special mention goes to our top individual scorers:

  • U13s: Aaryen P finishing 8th overall and Gareth L 28th out of 420 participants

  • U9s: Hudson E finishing 7th overall out of 190 participants.

The final results are expected in the next few weeks.
