Our Mathematicians Reach Finals at the University of Oxford

Our St John’s Beaumont mathematicians are on their way to the National Final at the University of Oxford.
Four pupils from Years 5, and four pupils from Year 6, have taken part in a regional qualifiers for the National Mathematics Quiz Championships.

Our Year 5 team triumphed over older competitors to progress to the semi-finals, while our Year 6 team delivered an extraordinary performance – finishing in first place and progressing automatically to the National Final at the University of Oxford. Year 6 pupils achieved an outstanding clean sweep, placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

We are immensely proud of our pupils and deeply appreciative of the dedicated staff who continue to nurture such talented and inquisitive young mathematicians.
Well done to Reed, Alex, Dharsan, Kingsley, Aaryen, Nicholas, Nick and Aarib.
