MEGA FUNDRAISING EFFORTS BY SJB FAMILY
We have been amazed by all the brilliant efforts of our SJB boys and their families, but one of them is taking it even further…
William (Y8) and his Mum supported the East Berkshire Out of Hours Service with donations of PPE. In April and March, they wrote to local private schools, hairdressers, beauticians and nail bars, securing hundreds of pairs of gloves and masks which were then delivered to the Bracknell NHS Hub.
Furthermore, William has been helping his mum to write flyers and delivering them to neighbours asking for volunteers to sew PPE. He helped measure and cut meters of fabric for scrubs for St Peter’s Hospital. To read more and support William and his mum in this project, click here.
However, they are not stopping here! As a family effort, they are now “swimming the channel in May”, a total of 3,091 lengths. They each chose a charity that is suffering in the current climate. William’s chosen charity is the Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue in Windlesham.
Good luck & well done, from all of us at SJB!
