NEW: SJB BOARDERS’ CULTURAL PROGRAMME

Mr Delaney and the boarding team at SJB have put together an exciting programme for our boarders this year.

The events below are part of our new and ongoing cultural programme. These trips are not compulsory for all boarders but if a boarder would like to join any of the trips then they need to register with their boarding master. Parents will need to give permission to attend the events.

ETON BOYS’ CONCERT – 23rd September

Eton Boys Concert Windsor FestivalThis concert will last approximately 90 minutes. It will involve a number of soloists or small group performances by the senior musicians of Eton College. The concert takes place in the Eton School Hall: where the boys attend morning assembly.

TALK BY GAVIN BARWELL – 28th September

The Chief of Staff is closely involved in creating government policy design and implementation as well as political strategy and communication and advising the Prime Minister.

SHAKESPEARE’S ‘HAMLET’ – 28th September

The main role is played by the famous actor Ian Mckellen who has also played the role of ‘Gandalf’ in Lord of the Rings. Hamlet is one of Shakespeare’s tragedies.

 

THE ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA – 13th November

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world’s most famous orchestras. They are performing 2 famous and well-loved pieces of music during this concert: Rachmaninov’s 2nd piano concerto and Beethoven’s 6th symphony.
