ORCHESTRA TRIP TO JERSEY

Dr Mollison, Director of Music at St John’s Beaumont, has planned an exciting trip for the Orchestra to Jersey which will be held during the Easter Holidays 2022.

All members of the Orchestra are invited and attendance is not dependent on standard.

Dr Mollison would very much like to use this trip to practice with the Orchestra, as they have not had a lot of time to play together.
This trip presents the opportunity to develop the boy’s general instrumental skill and musicianship but also offers them the opportunity to play together; something that they had only very limited occasion to do in recent months.

In addition, there will be a daily schedule of 2-hours of revision for boys that have examinations on return to SJB in the Summer term.

Aside from the Orchestral rehearsing, the following trips have been planned:

• Gerald Durrell Zoo
• Mont Orgueil Castle trip
• Blo-carting
• Gorey Pier
• The Beach.

It promises to be an amazing trip, many musicians have enjoyed it in the past. There are also local hotels where parents sometimes choose to stay.

Accommodation: Chateau Vermont

Date: Tuesday 29th March 2022 until Saturday 2nd April (4 nights)

Travel:  By coach and ferry

Projected costs:  Approximately £450* (per boy)

*This will include accommodation, food, tuition and entry tickets for the trips. All the boys will need is a modest amount of spending money. There will be a further information talk arranged prior to the final booking confirmation.
