SAFEGUARDING NEWS SEPTEMBER 2021

Safeguarding Matters at SJB

All staff at St John’s Beaumont began the year with a very informative and useful safeguarding talk on ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children‘.  The workshop was run by David Blake, who provides safeguarding training, nationally and internationally. He has worked for Surrey County Council for many years and has a wealth of experience working in youth centres and schools.

The training focussed on the individual and shared safeguarding responsibility that each and every adult working with children holds. In addition, legislation, policies and issues related to safeguarding were covered.

The teachers and staff at St John’s Beaumont take great care in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all of our boys. This workshop brought safeguarding to the forefront of a new school year and provided an update on current legislation and procedures.

A reminder that Mrs Anne Barker is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (abarker@sjb.email) and Mrs Ruby Walker is the Deputy Safeguarding Lead (rwalker@sjb.email).
