SARJAN’S COMMUNITY WORK WITH THE SIKH TEMPLE SLOUGH
We are pleased to highlight some of the amazing voluntary work that Sajan (Y6) and his family are getting involved in at the Sikh Temple in Slough.
Via GMGG (The Sikh Temple in Slough), volunteers are helping NHS Trusts and vulnerable residents with food supplies up and down the country, covering areas from Slough to Barnet and Guildford to Leicester.
Daily, they deliver over 100 separate food parcels directly to homes and over 600 meals to NHS trusts in London and the Home Counties. The reception of this project has been fantastic and the food is greatly appreciated by the hardworking NHS staff.
The picture shows the queue of NHS staff at The Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford, waiting to pick up their meals from a marquee that’s been put up to accommodate all the donations. It was very long!
Sarjan and his family would like to send the message that if you require urgent support yourself, you have an opportunity to reach out. It is realised there are many concerned families out there and many have already fallen onto hard times.

This is great work Sajan, well done!
