SJB OLD BOY APPOINTED HEAD OF LINE AT STONYHURST COLLEGE
We are delighted to share the news that Kieran Ngu from the SJB Class of 2016 has been chosen as Head of Line at Stonyhurst College.
Kieran accomplished much during his time at St John’s including but not limited to;
- All Rounder Scholarship to Stonyhurst College
- Dermot Gogarty Memorial Goblet for Service to others
- Senior Prize Winner for Verse Speaking
- Subject Prize for Art
- Subject Prize for IT
Mr Delaney recalls Kieran joining St John’s for Year 7 and from the moment he joined us, it was apparent that he was a boy with a strong sense of integrity and compassion for others.
Throughout his time in Upper Figures and Rudiments Kieran was increasingly highly regarded by those who knew him: his open-minded and inclusive approach to everything he did reflected the leadership skills that would continue to emerge throughout his time at Stonyhurst.
Kieran contributed widely and generously to the wider life at St John’s. As a boarder, he helped to create an environment in which new members of the community felt welcome and valued, as a sportsman he did not seek the limelight, however, he was a first-class team player. In the creative arts, he involved himself in music concerts and exhibitions and academically he built a strong dialogue with his teachers and flourished as an active learner who valued every opportunity he was given.
Kieran has thanked the staff of SJB for sculpting him into the person he is today.
