SJB TOGETHER – Welcome from Mr Delaney
Dear Parents, Guardians and Boys
I begin by extending the warmest welcome back to you all to the new school year.
Every September brings a sense of eager anticipation and excitement but nothing could have prepared us for the overwhelming sense of pleasure we experienced at seeing the boys return to school this week. It has been so lovely hearing the normal hubbub around the corridors and boys are clearly so very pleased to see each other and their teachers once again.
There remain challenges ahead but we are looking forward to these and accompanying the boys through whatever lies ahead. We have put in all of the necessary measures to adapt to a wide range of scenarios over the next term and possibly beyond and are making every possible effort to keep as normal a routine as possible for the boys. Where this is not possible we have looked for innovative ways to adapt and get the very best out of every opportunity.
I wanted also to thank you, our parents, for the support you have given both to the School and your sons in preparing for this term and for your patience this week whilst we have settled the boys into new routines. As is so often the case, they have taken to these new procedures like ducks to water in so many areas and I am enormously proud of them for doing so.
Please keep a close eye on this weekly newsletter moving forward. We are acutely aware that opportunities to meet with you in person will be limited this term but want to do everything we possibly can to continue to work alongside our families in the weeks ahead and will confirm further arrangements in this regard over the coming in the near future.
