St John’s Beaumont Joins the Trunks Across the Thames Art Trail
St John’s Beaumont is delighted to announce that we will be taking part in Trunks Across the Thames, Thames Hospice’s public art trail.
This exciting initiative will bring together businesses, schools, community groups and artists to create a free, fun and family-friendly trail of discovery for the whole community to explore and enjoy.

Our magnificent St John’s Beaumont elephant has been collaboratively designed by talented Art students from across the school, including our dedicated Art Scholars. The project has been led by our Head of Art, Miss Burton, whose guidance has inspired a truly creative team effort. The result is a vibrant and imaginative sculpture that reflects the enthusiasm, skill and teamwork of our pupils. Look closer to see how our sculpture celebrates all that it is to be a pupil at St John’s Beaumont; even the elephant’s feet proudly detail our House TYE System (Tigers, Yaks and Emus!)
In summer 2026, our elephant will join the majestic herd for nine weeks as part of the sculpture trail, helping to transform the streets, parks and open spaces of Slough and Windsor into a glorious open-air gallery.
We are incredibly proud to be part of this wonderful community celebration of art, creativity and togetherness, all in support of the vital work of Thames Hospice.
