ST JOHN’S BEAUMONT PUPIL INVITED TO JOIN PRIMARY ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC
We are extremely proud of Shaurya G in Lower Figures (Y6) for his musical achievements.
Shaurya worked hard over the last 12 months and developed his musical talent in various areas. He plays the Oboe and achieved Grade 3 with Distinction, the piano, on which he completed Grade 8 with Distinction, supported by Music Theory, Grade 5 with Distinction.
All his hard work paid off when he took part in the Maidenhead Music Festival in 2019 and won 5 Gold and 1 Silver Medal for his solo performances and one Silver Medal for a duet performance.
Shaurya was awarded “The Atkinson & Keene Cup” under the classification of Jazz performing the best Jazz piece across all the Jazz music performances during the entire festival competition.
In addition, he was also awarded the “Ron Oakes Memorial Cup” in the Duet category for their interpretation of a piece by Beethoven as the best Beethoven music piece performance across all the pieces performed during the festival competition.
Since then, Shaurya was invited to join the Primary Royal Academy of Music, following a successful music audition.
