ST JOHN’S BEAUMONT SCHOLARSHIP SEMINAR WITH HARROW’S DR. MICHAEL GRAY

Members of our Rudiments (Yr8) group were most fortunate to take part in an outstanding seminar run by the Director of Studies at Harrow, Dr Michael Gray on the Rwandan genocide.

The purpose of this event was to support the boys in developing their analytical and research skills as well as their ability to collaborate in their own learning environment.

The quality of the research they undertook and the extent to which they understood both the political and humanitarian context of the genocide but also the ongoing challenges and developments in Rwanda were all deeply impressive.

This was a wonderful example of boys being open-minded both in accepting this challenge but also in the remarkable quality of preparation they did to get the best out of the event.
