ST JOHN’S HOLIDAYS FOR CHILDREN TRUST

The Trust, set up by old boys of St John’s over 30 years ago, supports the families of children suffering from either mental or physical disabilities and this welcomed 23 children aged between 10 and 14 to spend Holy Week here as part of an exciting activity week.

The Trust is one of the main recipients of our fundraising over the course of each year and the children and their carers this year enjoyed a wide range of enjoyable and stimulating activities including a trip to Chessington, a wildlife feathers and fur activity, inflatables, art and craft and a disco.

We were enormously grateful to Michael Windmill and Joe Lamont who gave their time so generously during their holidays to organise the disco which was, in the words of two helpers “the best disco the children have ever had”.
