Inspiring Young Minds, Ages Three to Thirteen

St John’s Beaumont School is a co-educational preparatory school for boys and girls aged three to thirteen, offering a distinctive blend of tradition and innovation. Set within 70 acres on the edge of Windsor Great Park, our independent school provides an inspiring environment where curiosity, confidence, and character flourish. From our Nursery and Early Years through to Year 8, pupils benefit from small class sizes, specialist teaching, and outstanding facilities including forest trails, an indoor swimming pool, climbing wall, and floodlit courts.

As a private school with over 135 years of excellence, we are proud to prepare children for leading senior schools such as Eton, Harrow, Wellington, and Winchester. Our approach combines strong academic foundations with High Performance Learning, ensuring every child develops the resilience, compassion, and leadership skills needed for life beyond the classroom. With both day and boarding options, St John’s Beaumont offers a caring, inclusive community where every child feels supported to achieve their full potential.

Headmaster’s welcome

Welcome to St John’s Beaumont Preparatory School, an outstanding preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3 to 13.

Founded in 1888, ours is a school with a remarkable history, a proud Jesuit heritage and, I believe, a tremendously exciting future. At its heart, however, St John’s Beaumont is about something much simpler: children.

I have long been fond of the quote: ‘How can you say, ‘the sky’s the limit’, when there are footsteps on the moon?’

For me, it captures something fundamental about education. We want our children to be happy, curious and ambitious; to have faith in themselves, to discover what they are capable of and, importantly, to enjoy the precious years of childhood along the way.

St John’s Beaumont is also a family. It is the relationships between children and teachers, the friendships between pupils, the partnership with parents and that important sense of belonging which make our school so special.

To discover more about our co-educational journey, high performance learning, and school admissions, we warmly invite you to book a visit to experience our special community and what makes St John’s different.

I very much look forward to welcoming you and your family.
