A group of children in matching sports uniforms enjoy an extra curricular field hockey game outdoors on a sunny day. One child in front is focused on hitting the ball while others run behind her.

Co-Curricular

At St John’s we run a very large number of activity clubs – all planned with children’s interests in mind.

For some pupils, their personal strength may lie outside of the academic curriculum and it is important that these skills are recognised to the greatest extent possible within the structure of the school.  Our clubs at St John’s provide an opportunity to try new things, forge friendships outside of the classroom and develop existing skills and interests.

The list of activities includes: tennis, rugby, football, athletics, chamber orchestra, Jubilate Choir, art club, cricket, LAMDA (acting, public speaking, verse & prose), Craft Club, fine motor skills, swimming, chess, yoga, ballet, tap, coding, judo, Spanish, LEGO, dodgeball, basketball, current affairs, crochet, creative writing, climbing, golf, hockey, book club, quiz club, Green Power Racing and enrichment sessions for Scholars (Music, Art, English, Drama, Mathematics, and Sports Fitness).
